Will 235/45/17's fit the A4's wheel wells without damage?

Will 235/45/17's fit the A4's wheel wells without damage?

I have 225/45/17's & Ronal wheels and was wondering if I can safely change to 235/45/17's and not dammage my rims or suspension parts?? A knowlegable response would be great..Thanks in advance..

As many times as I have seen this asked, I have yet to see an answer.

I think that 235/40-17 would fit a little better on a lowered car. I have not seen anything concrete about whether they would rub or not.

I have 235-45/17 RE730 on R28 Ronals, fit ok, on stock AVUS wheels with different offset they rubbed

I'll let you know in a few days what i think...

This afternoon I'm supposed to be picking up 17x8.5" ET35 MIM Brock B3's with 235/45/17 SP5000's. I'll be putting them on a fwd 98.5 1.8t.

Well I've put about 250 miles on the new wheels and tires and no rubbing so far. Even with 4 people in the car is was okay. It's a pretty tight fit but I'm still considering lowering it with some eibach's.
This is on a 98.5 1.8t sport fwd.
