Blizzak report...
I've had a few days on snow with the Avant and new Blizzak LS-50s, and I have to say that they are simply amazing when compared to the OE SP8000 sport package tires.
Much more grip, even on ice. Don't get into the ABS as early as with my GTI (running all season Goodyear Eagles). Was able to creep out of inclined drive that last year required a running start.
