BBS CH offset question...

BBS CH offset question...
Has anyone tried having the mounting surface machined to increase the offset? I noticed the last time my car was on the lift that there is plent of room behind the wheel and the brakes, clear by a mile (A4). I'm not talking anything drastic, maybe .100" - .125".

I would advise against it...
By machining you are talking about removing thickness from the back of the hub flange area? That would decrease offset..
BBs would have this fitment optimized for the car to begine with, and having the wheels machined off of a counter-pressure cast wheel could be likely to weaken the integrityof the wheel, causing more damage or failure of the wheel.
In other words, I wouldnt mess with it.
