Smaller diameter Wheels for a 2002 S6 Avant
I live in Minnesota, and have purchased a S6 Avant.
Next fall I will want to mount winter tires, and would prefer to use 16" or even 15" wheels to place as much rubber between the wheel and the road (or what pass for roads in Northern Minnesota). Could I use standard 16" A6 Avant wheels, or are there better options?
I have had good luck with Pirelli Winter 210 Performance tires on my 1999 Volvo V70 AWD R.
Are there any suggestions or experiences with other winter tires that will provide good high speed stability and still dig out of snowdrifts?

Hmmm...16" A6 2.7T wheels might fit...
I would imagine that there will be brake caliper clearance issues with most other wheels. I would say that no 15" wheels will fit, since they do not fit on the S4 and A6 2.7T/4.2. Hopefully Tire Rack and the other vendors will get their hands on an S6 for some test fitting of different wheels.
