TT Premium Wheels/tires question
I am considering buying the 17" TT premium wheels and tires. It should be a direct fit with no adapters or fender rolling required. I live in the upper midwest and have to deal with a fair amount of snow/ice and the end of season potholes.
I'd like to hear from others who are year-round drivers on the TT premium 17" 5-spoke polished wheels. Also, can you recommend which tire would be the best all season performer?
Thanks,
Dan
Why not just keep the goodyears and use them
during the winter or pick up a set of snows and
mount them on the 15" wheels? If you need to sell
the OE set up to swing the 17's, I'd beware.
The OE 17's on the TT (Bridgestone RE 040's or
Michelin Pilot's) can be treacherous in the snow
(even with quattro). Good luck.
I recommend that you put some snows on the stock 15" wheels, and use these during your winter season; and get the 17" TT wheels for non-winter.
Tire rack website can certainly help you find suitable snow tires.
