Will 245/45 17" tires work on an A4?

Will 245/45 17" tires work on an A4?
The car is lowered about an inch and a half.
Doing a search of the archives didn't yield any information to suggest that the 245/45s wouldn't work, but when I hold them next to my 225/45s, they just look so much bigger.
The reason that I'm asking is that I bought a used set of wheels and they came with 245/45s. My car is in Detroit right now (I'm in Pittsburgh), so I can't exactly do a test fit!

they look so much bigger because they are :-) About 4% increase in height and...
20% increase in width.
Apart from the fact that your speedo and odo will be off by 4% which is relatively high, I would think you'll have some major rubbing issues.
Even if you'd go with the proper height, which would be 245/40, I suspect that you'd have rubbing issues because you're lowered and 245 is just too wide.
