S03's or Pilot Sports and why?

Both are top notch...
The only test I've seen between these two was done by TireRack. Based on this, and user reviews, I'd go with S-03s. They're both about the same price.
I have not heard of any disappointed S-03 or Pilot Sport owners.

I've used both, but in different sizes
My previous tires were Pilot Sports in 225/45 on stock S4 rims. Now I've got S03's in 235/40 on SSR Competition 17x8.5" rims.
Overall I'd say that the Pilot Sports were a little quieter, but perhaps this isn't a fair comparison since the 235/40 S03's are quite a bit wider.
Before I had Pilot Sports I had S02 pole positions on my stock rims. The S02's were stickier but noisier. The Pilot Sports are an excellent street tire, but when you start to push it on the track or in the twisties, they'll start to gum up from the heat and slide around a bit. Not to the point of becoming uncontrolled, but the S02's never had that problem.
I just put the S03's on so I can't comment yet on their performance. But I'm hoping that the S03's atleast live up to the performance of the S02. If they can, then I would suggest the S03 over the Pilot Sports.
