New 2002 A4 17" 5-spokes, will they fit?

wheels YES, tires NO. Just came from Audi dealer and asked them the same question...
the wheels will fit of course, but the 235/45/17 tires will not fit older version A4s, pre-2002. Unless you roll the fenders or something along those lines.
They were getting some questions about it, so recently took the new sport package wheels and tires and put them on a pre-02 A4 and the back wheels rubbed while turning, fronts did not.
This from an Audi dealer, for what that's worth.
