Default "Old" S-02's or new S-03's for the track

I'm scheduled for the Quattro club school at Lime rock in a few weeks, and I still have a little tread left on my S-02's. (Not quite to the treadbar, but have about 20K miles on 'em). I've already ordered the S-03's to replace them. My question is: if it's dry, will I get better traction out of the S'02's or new S-03's. Obviously, if there's any chance of rain, it's the S-03's all the way...

Thoughts?

Dave

Default the new tires will take ~ 500 miles to break-in, keep that in mind.

I would think that you'd get better dry traction with the old tires.

Scrub up your old tires rather than the new ones.

mmm, I agree with this- You may not have enough time to "break in" new ones for track
