Mint Avantgarde 18" wheels no tread

What do you guys think would be a fair price for mint 18's without tread, i know someone selling them but not sure what would be a good deal. TIA

They went for $450 a piece when new.

Maybe $350 a piece if they were in mint condition? They're disco'd so you can't get em anywhere.

That's a major drawback IMO, destroy 1 and you need to buy 4 new wheels...

absurd...

why pay $450 for a cast rim that looks like an oem'd borbet type c (that can be had for ~$220)?

Because...

Borbets are complete **** and the AvantGarde's were manufactured by BBS.

I have a set that I use on the street only. They are ROCK solid, but heavy.

OTOH you'll prolly never run into anynoe with the same rims as you.

They're putty soft. It's a well known fact that all Borbets are soft as hell. Do a search...

One guy here in Chicago has 8 (!) of them. And I don't mean two pairs...

And by the way I practically stole my AvantGarde Type S at $160 a rim. Who got ripped off now, paying $220 for freakin Borbets. LOL!

i never said i paid $220 for borbets, only that that is the going price, just as you said that $450 was the going price for the avant garde rims.

anyway, enjoy your cast rims.
