Just got AVUS 17s .. Got screwed?
I just picked up 17 S4 avus wheels from a private party I met here at Audiworld, wheels were sold with the understanding that they were Factory OEM wheels. Was told by the parts manager at my local dealership that the Factory wheels have part number engraved on the inside of the wheels and slao "made in germany" engraved in the inside of the wheel. The wheels I got have no such numbers, they came with a sticker on each wheel , I peeled the sticker off and there is evidence of another sticker ripped of under this sticker.
I think I have been screwed and the wheels are probably aftermarket not OEM.
Please advise what else I should look for to confirm if these are originals or not.

I think I have been screwed and the wheels are probably aftermarket not OEM.

Wow, that sucks. Did you confront the seller?
Make him take them back and refund your money if you find they're fakes. If he refuses, publish his name here and we'll all get on his case.

Re: The part# looks like an official Audi part #. I know but ....
the part number sticker has been placed on the wheels, the original sticker was removed, plus the wheels dont have engraved part number just a sticker

The OEM wheels have certain info embossed near the lug holes (under the center cap)...
Should say "Ronal", "17x7.5", "ET45", etc. The wheel in your pic does not have an OEM center cap. Here's the cap that was on my S4 (and all the others I've seen)...
