18" BBS LM on TT

I notice some TT owners with 19" BBS LM use spacers for these wheels. Do I need to use spacers as well if I opt for the 18"x8.5" ET25 version? Things that need to be taken into consideration is I am planning to lower the car 1" and possibly a BBK (Stoptech or Stasis). Will I have any clearance/rubbing issue?

the front brake caliper's clearance to the LM's "spokes"

is the issue. Spacers are required for some bbk kits. The second of your photos illustrates this. Looking at the front wheel.. The brake calipers (which appear stock) are in very close proximity to wheel's center section. Most bbk calipers are bulkier, and mandate spacers on the front. Since the LM's are 8.5 inches wide and et=25, they are pretty close to the esthetic fender clearance "limit" already, IMO,on the TT.
