Michelin Pilot Sport A/S or Goodyear F1 GS-D3?
Both the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and Goodyear F1 GS-D3 get raves from everybody, but they never get compared since they're in different classes. How would they compare?

Another good tire if treadwear is an issue is the Falken St-115. That's a more comfortable summer tire in terms of ride quality, noise, and wear. The best part is when they wear out, you won't mind too much since they are quite inexpensive :-)

1. On a Lexus IS300, the Pilot Sport A/S can decelerate at 0.94 g, and the Pilot Sport at 1.03 g.
2. In a different test but also on a Lexus IS300, both the F1 GS-D3 and the Pilot Sport can decelerate at 1.04 g.
I think it's save to say that the Pilot Sport A/S will require about 10% longer stopping distances than the F1 GS-D3, and that's a huge difference. If it was me, I'd choose the F1 GS-D3 for my summer tire.
And if you do go with the F1 GS-D3, I think you'll find the performance difference so much better than your Dunlop M3's that you'll start thinking about replacing the dedicated winter tire with the Pilot Sport A/S. As much as I like my Pirelli 210's in the snow, I'm think of replacing them with the Michelin A/S for the same reason.
