18" rims and new tires on a TT

Will I see a huge change in performance and feel if I go to an 18" ssr gt2 and a performance tire instead of the 17" all season stock set up? Any down side?

About the only change you'll notice is going from...

...an a/s tire to a performance tire. 18s usually look better, but don't really offer any perfomance advantage over 17s, IMO. The downside to 18s is that tires are more expensive.

and rims bend more easily.
