My sig quote says it all...
Is there any recourse or manufacturers warranty that they did not disclose or will I be permately bashing Dunlop and <b>not</b> supporting their product from here on out?
The tires were unused, mounted on a RS 6 that went with 19's at delivery and I purchased the replacement tire from TireRack if it matters.
Thanks for reading </rant>
That's like complaining that Audi won't fix your car if you happen to have an accident. That's what you buy INSURANCE for.
Me thinks you just had bad luck catching all these flats. I'm not trying to defend Dunlop (I don't have any affiliation with them), but I think blaming them for catching a flat tire is way out there.
I deal with production in a different market yet am aware of the possibility of a bad mold, rubber compount etc. I have driven many tires and have never had 5 flats or even 2 on the same batch.
I didnt ask Dunlop to do anything. I expected they would discount or credit me towards a new set of a different (non 9000) model tire from the Dunlop brand, but they didnt even so much as offer.
You cant get the road hazard protection when you purchase a new set of wheels from an Audi dealership which just happened to have these tires on already. I did purchase it for the one replacement tire I bougt at tire rack, but that does dick for the other 4 punctures.
I assume if Dunlop realisticly cared about its customers they would at lest reference my complaint, or offer a suitable compromise i order to keep a customer and establish a sale. Instead I got some robot of a "customer service" agent who I am not even convinced even drives a car or even knows about what tires do.
Toyo will gain my business and I wil urchase them from TireRack with a protection plan.
As for Dunlop, they had a chance and they blew it (5 times actually). Unlike most unhappy customers, I'll be sure to reference my experience with them on every forum that warrants the comment.
You live near or drive through an area with construction? Like new home construction?
Without explanation of why the tires were flat, why would you expect them to be warrantied?
