So...No more Pirelli PZero Nero Summer tires @ TR....how do the M&S versions compare?
Love my current tires...but even when new they had a tendancy to hydroplane more than OEM Michelin Pilot Primacy's or the Dunlop SP8000E's that I had on my B5.
Now that my car is nearing old age, currently w/ 60k, I wouldnt mind moving down to an all season tire. I dont think it's worth the investment to burn out 4 tires every 20k miles on this particular car. I still have a set of Dunlop Wintersport M3's with only one season on them, so I'll still mount them next winter, but I will need new tires at some point soon to replace my Pirelli's.
What are some other good options: 235/45/17....and just how will they do in the winter weather of Philly?
Love the Dunlop M3's performed as good as an all season tire....no need to get Q rated tires again imo.
Which all season tires would you look to for best overall performance? Given that 20-25k miles is the max that I've ever been able to keep my summers...how much of a treadlife would I be gaining by going to an all season? My summer Nero's are starting their 3rd season now and I know wont last.
Also the other 2 summer tires you listed are a bit more than I would like to spend on rubber.
What do you think about the Dunlop 9000 & 9090's? How do they stack up vs newer competition?
What do you make out of the 9000's 280 UTGC rating? Seems very high for a summer tire.
