Gary: What is a recommended alternative for ContiExtremeContacts? I'm tired of waiting.
I'm looking to put my 17" summer wheels on and I am tired of waiting for my two (2)back-ordered ContiExtremeContacts. 225/45-17.
Any comparable tires out there? (price & performance)
Looks like I'll need a set of 4.

Kumho ASX, Pirelli Nero M+S, and Avon Tech M550 are very close.

Is the normal PZero Nero still even offered? Or are they all M+S now?
Seems only OEM applications get the regular PZero Nero.
Or is it just offered in a more limited range of sizes than the M+S variant?
Or are they trying to migrate serious Nero users to the Corsa?

Not offered in US market anymore, more info below.

That is some weird marketing tactics from Pirelli NA...
considering all the tests/awards that the summer Nero has won (I think Gary@Ronal touted those a few weeks back).
I guess the summer Nero isn't selling too well in the US that's why they're pulling them out? Or is it the case of customer confusion between summer and all-season versions of Nero? In Europe, there is only a summer version of Nero.
