Do I have to replace all four tires at once?
Sorry if this has been asked before. I noticed a bubble forming on the sidewall of one of my tires and I want to know if it is true that you have to replace all of your tires at the same time if the car is all-wheel-drive? Something having to do with all of the tires being equal diameter?
If so, that sucks, because I have a perfectly good (never used) spare tire in my trunk. I guess I could buy three new Dunlop 9090s and use the spare.

I think Audi recommends that if the tread is within 4/32", you don't need to replace them all...
So if your current tires are worn no more than 4/32" (as compared to new ones), then you could only replace tires on one axle, so buy one new one and use the other new tire that you have in your trunk.
Alternatively, if your current tires are worn more than 4/32" already, you could just buy one tire from TireRack and ask them to have it shaved down to the same depth as your other tires.
