Default Well, I "like" what I see with the 615's. Also, I like the Yoko Neova AD07. I'm trying to

simplify my life here...put on a set of tires and keep them on, no "special" tires for the track. The S4 sees about 2,500 miles a year. Obviously the glaring difference between the 615 and the Yokos is Yokos=$1100/set and the Falkens=$580/set. I read that the 615's get 'greasy' on dry after some wear. I don't know what the tread life is either. Additionally, some have mildly commented about the 'wet' performance of the Falkens. I'm not comfortable with making a decision as I have a couple of subjective opinions and no hard facts. I'm leaning toward the Falkens with price being the biggest influence. And, I probably won't go wrong with the Yokos based on brand recognition and integrity. Also the Yoko tread width for the 235/40-16 is 9.1"....0.4" wider than comparable 235's. I want as much feedback as I can get. Making a long story longer, there is no "magic bullet" here.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=ADVAN+Ne ova+AD07

Default if you're truly looking for performance in a street tire, hard to fault the Azenises

especially for the asking price.
they 'greasy' comment that you hear, IMO, is true with *any* street tire that gets heated up at the track. it's just that the degradation might be a little more noticeable on the Azenis because it's starting from such a high level of grip in the first place. you will need to step up to R-comp models like Toyo RA1, or Hankook Z211, Pilot Sport Cup, or Victoracers, to get tires that offer best grip while fully heated up. Note I've never driven the new Neovas, but I hear they're exceptional (except for price!)

Default Thank you...and the Neova are very expensive, yes. :( Interesting about the street tire comment

and slipperiness. I never thought of it that way, but it makes alot of sense, especially with the Asenzis. I'm going to finish the next 2 events with the Contis, think about it over winter, collect more data and maybe have enough info in place to make a proper decision...maybe.
Thanx.

Default and if you don't have enough to decide upon, I'm seeing more and more of

the Hankook Ventus RS2-212 running in my local Street Touring (AutoX) classes. apparently designed to compete directly with the Azenis both in performance and price. I'm going to have to decide between these two tires when my OEMs wear down (which I hope is soon!)
