20" wheels for new TT
First of all, you'd need to get a 205/35 or a 185/40 tire to maintain the proper OE diameter. Those are narrow tires! (And are 20 inch wheels available in 7 to 7.5 inches wide?) By the way, from the OE tires, you are going to lose from 0.75 to 1.5 inches of section width (and up to 1.5 inches of sidewall height for that matter). Basically, the tire section is going to be from 7.25 to 8.0 inches wide and around 2.75 inches high!! Now that gives new meaning to the "rubber band" look.
Who would want to do that to a precision German car? Maybe you can do that to a Honda, but....
