New All-Season tires for a B7 A4--Gary, please chime in
One of the OEM Continetnal ContiPro Contacts on my 2005.5 has developed a bulge in the sidewall at 21,500 miles. Rather than put on the spare and buy 1 new tire, I decided to upgrade because I have read only bad things about these tires. I am looking for a a good all-season tire in size 235/45 R17 and have a few in mind that I wanted to get some feedback on:
1) Bridgestone Potenza G009
2) Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S
3) Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position
4) Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S
I'm looking for good dry, wet, and light snow traction. Road noise is more of a factor to me than comfort, and I want the tires to last at least 30K. Also, is there any difference between TireRack's "high performance" category and "ultra high performance" category other than speed rating? Right now I'm leaning towards the Exaltos. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Tires like the G009 and Exalto A/S should see about 40,000 miles on average and will be a bit quieter with better snow traction (and a softer ride). UHP A/S Tires like RE960 and Nero M+S will see about 30,000 miles on average and offer better dry grip and faster steering response.
