Need a source for caps and/or Audi rings logo decals for RS4 replica wheels....
I bought a set of 16" Italian-made RS4 replica wheels. I was told they would come with "Audi logo" center caps.
They arrived with generic caps with a plain silver decal to stick to the center rather than the gray/silver with silver/chrome Audi rings. I was disappointed that they were not OEM, but even more so that they were out of the "OEM look" decals. They cannot give me a date on when the re-order will be in.
I tried what I think was an original RS4 cap from the dealer, but it (1) did not pop in all of the way (but I think it would if I trimmed certain areas on the back), and (2) was not quite wide enough. It would cover the center hole, but you would still see a small (a few mm) gap around the outer edge.
Any thoughts? What I have looks fine, but I want the Audi logo. Does anyone know of any of companies that sell replica wheels that would sell me caps with the Audi logo (even if they are not OEM)?
I was surprised that the original I tried at the dealer did not fill the hole. My understanding is that Hartmann and others who sell the Italian-made replicas recommend the OEM caps (with a bit of trimming to make them fit).
