Need tire recommendation
The G009 and Avid H4s would be a step down in handling and steering response but would have a bit softer ride and closer to 40,000 miles on average.
All three have pretty good winter traction for an all season, but the Conti and G009 are a bit better in snow than the H4s.<ul><li><a href="http://Tires">http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR8&url=/tires/index.jsp</a></li></ul>
Thanks for the suggestion. With the Conti, I meant the ContiProContact, not the extreme. What do you think of that tire, the Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S and the Kumho Ecsta AST. While I'm sure all of the tires are good (including the ones in the original post), which tire do you feel is the best price/value?
The F1 A/S would be a significant step up in dry grip-- it is a very sporty tire, even more so than the Extreme contact I was referring to in my previous post, but it will only be fair in snow and wear is at about 30k.
The AST isn't bad for an entry level tire, but there are better options out there, especially for snow traction.
In this size the Pro Conatct and Yokohama H4s would some of the better values.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR8&url=/tires/index.jsp">tires</a></li></ul>
Thanks for all of your help. Based on your help, what I've read, and prices, I think I'm going to try the H4S. They definitely seem better (from what I've read) than my Pirelli P6, so I'm excited. Thanks again for all of your help! I'll post a new message to let you know how I like them.
