Newbie Q re: A/S tires for allroad

Hi. I'm new here, but I could use all-season tire suggestion for '01 AR 2.7t - 58K. OEM Pirelli's have survived beyond their days, but won't make it thru another Chicago winter.

Unfortunately, not enough disposable coin for winter & summer shoes right now [gotta buy a house :-( ] Thinking about Yoko Avid H4s on stock 17's... Thoughts?

The trick is buy winter tires now for the stockers....

Then in spring after the house stuff is settled spring for 18s and summer tires.

that works well till you upgrade to a BBk. Then you end up needing 18" winter wheels. :-(

I bit the bullet this year and bought my 18" winter setup. 18" snow tires are f'n expensive.

Yeah, but I was guessing an allroad owner looking for all seasons probably won't be doing BBK.

Just a hunch ;-)

your probly right..

It is amazing how afforable a BBK sounds until you add in the additional wheels/tires you need to purchase after the BBk is installed.
