20+k from ContiExtremeContact, but would like more on its replacement...
I've had my ContiExtremeContacts for ~22k miles. I've liked them, apart from the treadwear (but underrotation may be partially to blame). The Contis replaced the stock OEM Michelin Pilot MXM4 (sp?) which gave me ~38k.
I also think I'd prefer symmetric, so I can rotate 'em myself if I want to. And finally, one of my Contis sat in the spare-slot, unused (because of the aforementioned underrotation), and in spite of its assymetry, I'd like to keep it as the spare.
Any recommendations? I liked buying from Tire Rack, so if I can get 'em there, that'd be nice. And if any of what I said was crack-headed, please be gentle when correcting me!

sorry about my ignorance, but why the contis can't be rotated?
I just bought my contiextreme from Tirerack and I would like to know more about that issue. I would appreciate your input. Thanks!

I'm specifically talking about the ContiExtremeContact, BTW. They can be rotated, but they're directional (look at the tread), so you either have to unseat/reseat or limit the rotation choices between front/rear only.

Odd indeed. When I read the reviews for these I saw mixed reactions, it's almost like they're manufactured two different places and one factory's is a lot better than the other's.
