best winter tire size for a 17" oz superleggera? tirerack suggests 225/45-17...
is that too low profile for winter usage?
I'm thinking about going with the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D.
This is actually a very common size to run on winter tires these days.
If you're trying to maximize snow traction snow/ice traction in this size, consider the Blizzak WS-60. For more of a balanced between snow traction and dry road handling, check out the Dunlop Winter Sport 3D and Blizzak LM25.

winter

Any other thoughts?
