Default Help me decide please..3 tire choices...suggestions welcome ...and vote

All in size 225/45ZR17. I am in Seattle and my commute is short. I wish I had the storage luxury to have a dedicated winter set but no such luck. So the choices are (no particular order):

1. Potenza RE960AS Pole Position
2. Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season
3. Yokohama ADVAN S.4.

4...or go with Toyo Proxes4 again. These held up OK for the 30k miles I have them on. Uniformity of the wear is amazing. They got a bit louder after 12-15k miles but nothing excessive. Not so good in snow and ice(not an often scene in Seattle thankfully)
Car is A6 2.8q so nothing horribly fast or high in g forces is going to be happening.
I do like my tires quiet!
Thank you all.

Default Put a set of the F1's on my sons GTI 20th. A newly designed tire. All...

tests I read were very good. He said they were way better that the OE Pilots (15k). He is only 17 years old so his expirience is very limited, I have not driven the car with them on it. If it is snowy when I get home from work maybe I will take it out and test.

He did say the car does not drag down when hitting larger puddles that he can't avoid. I think the size was a 225/40-18, stock size replacement for the 18" wheels (Arista ?)

This might be the trend throughout the AS line of the Potenzas..

Default suggestion: P Zero Nero m+s

I've had them on the TT and now the A6 - great compromise tire IMO

Default 2nd, if you had room for 2 sets, use toyos for summer

I live in KY and have mild winters, maybe 2-5 snows a year, toyos are nice for summer, spring and fall, but for winter, I use the Kumho ASX. not as grippy or quiet as the toyos, but a good tire

Default Interesting as the Bridgestone's are rated higher at TireRack

I just ordered the 960AS in 18" for our Boxster. The Goodyear's and Yoko's have lower warranty ratings as well from TireRack.

IIRC Jeremy @ Matrix is running the Bridgestone's on the Benzo as well.
