Paging Tirerack: First time posting in the wheel/tire forum...couple ?s...
Been doing a lot of homework on tires...
What I have:
2001 B5 S4
with a few mods (stage 3-) less than 300 whp
Looking for a tire for my stock wheels (225/45/17). I live in the north east (NJ) and am looking for a good tire for my region (snow,rain,dry). Dont wanna spend too much less than $100 per tire. Not trying to be cheap, I just figure in time I will upgrade to a set of wheels and then I will put money onto a set of good tires on that. Now what I am not sure of is if I should go with just a summer tire or an all-season tire. I chose not to drive my car in the salt so I rarely drive my car in the snow...only to have some fun
. What, if any, solution would you have for me?

Bang for the buck UHP A/S in that size, I'd consider the Kumho ECSTA ASX. Next step up from those would be the BFG Gforce Super Sport A/S.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR8&url=/tires/index.jsp">tires</a></li></ul>

Thanks....here is what I got so far...
How are those Yokohama Avid? Looks to be a new tire and it had a good review with a couple of other tires in the same range...
