hub centric question - kinda long
Les Schwab measured the ID of the wheels, told me it was 60mm. So I ordered 57.1 X 60mm rings thru Discount tire and had them install them.
Had a n00b at Discount tire installed them, obviously weren't the right fit as the vibration was still there.
If I pop the center cap out of the wheel, you can physically see that it is not centered on the hub. I finally got fed up with the vibration yesterday and pulled the wheel myself and measured. I used a compass and transferred the measurement to an analog caliper and got 64.7mm.
Digging through my stash of papers, I found the original TUV document that came with the wheels. Showing the translation (mittenlochdurchmesser des rades)
diameter hole through the middle of the wheel is 63.4mm.
Thi s site lists a 57.1 x 63.3 ring. Should I take my chances and go off the documentation that came with the wheels? Or modify/make something for the measurements that I took?
Could my measurements be wrong?
Suggestions?
TIA
