All Season Tires?

I'm getting a TTS-Q Roadster and it comes with 19" RS4's and 255/35/19 performance tires.
I live in Boston and I require the best all season tires. I have nowhere to store and extra set of rims so A/S it is. Any suggestions?

Yoko' Advan S.4. got me through the last Minnesota winter ....

We are not comparing apples to apples though.
That was in an allroad on 255/40/19's. In snow, stopping sucks, turning sucks. A skinnier tire will definately improve those faults. The good thing is it goes through anything. 12 inches of snow? No problem. On the other hand how fast can you go in Boston when it snows? (I used to live in Melrose.)

what do you want them to handle better in, warm weather or snow? if warmer conditions i'd say the

Goodyear F-1 A/S. best A/S tires i've used but you can probably get something that performs better in the snow if that's more important to you...

It really doesnt snow much around here..

so I'm thinking more towards temperate performance. I like the idea of the F1's they do come in the correct size and good reviews too.

Boston?!? Yeah, it snows in Boston....

I was in the same predicament as you - I have a TTR 3.2 s-line w/ 19"s and RS4 wheels, that came with Michelin PS2 performance tires. They're wonderful, but near Philly I really do need at least A/S. So I found a set of 4 OEM 18" turbine wheels with Pirelli PZero Nero A/S on them, with TMPS and around 1000 miles total on the set. The tires/wheels/TMPS would list for around $3K new - other than a couple of rock chips, the set is essentially new - and cost <$1K from an Audiworld poster who sold his car. I'm finding storage space and putting them on November-March. You absolutely don't want to run perf tires in extreme cold - they not only have zero traction, but they get very hard and are downright dangerous. When I had my S4, I put A/S on the RS4 wheels (since I didn't want to do the switch) - I got the Eagle F1's and really liked them a lot.
