Are Pirrelli P6 Four Seasons really that bad? Came with my 2009 A4

Pirrelli P6 Four Season tires came with my 2009 2.0TQ A4 with P+ trim. I've been reading online and there seems to be a general hatred towards these tires because of road noise, bubbles developing the sidewall and performance. Find it unusual if this was true that Audi would put these on all their trims (I believe Prestige comes with these too).

Are they really that bad? I'm no expert and I'm leasing the car so I'm not about to invest $1k on new tires but wanted to know what the truth is about them!

Yes, they really are. Seriously.

They came on our A3. If we hadn't sold the car soon after getting it, I would have taken the P6s off and sold them. They are terrible. Honestly.

I hated them on my A3, but had no problems on my A4's or A5 (so far)

Seriously.

I'm not sure why you assume that. You can't trade them? I would just drive the hell out of them and try to wear 'em out as fast as possible. Honestly.

These came on my wife's '05 A6 - actually weren't too bad - lasted over 38k

miles w/ no real issues. Not overly grippy, but were acceptable in wet and light snow, ride was good, no excess noise even towards the end - not my 1st choice of tire, but def liveable.

Maybe I had the XM radio turned up too loud? Seriously, I really didn't

have a noise problem w/ the P6's - they basically did what they were supposed to do and I was delighted that they lasted the life of the lease. Wouldn't buy 'em if had a choice, but I'm not complaining (this time at least)
