Importing wheels directly from Japanese mfg BT: has anyone done this?
Please describe the process and what extra costs, duties, taxes I can look forward to paying other than the actual cost of the wheels and shipping.
I'm looking to order a special offset and fitment of Volk wheels directly from Volk/Rays in Japan to be shipped to Chicago.
I emailed some dude on the bmw forums who just did exactly this but his reply was real shady about sharing the info. wtf. douche.
I just want to know if this is worth the trouble to import on my own or should I just pay the premium that the local stateside Volk dealers will charge me for special ordering them for me.
