Aftermarket Wheel "Centering Ring"
I'm considering buying a complete winter set from TR. I've always preferred to stay OEM with my wheels but people are stingy this time of year.
I presume the purpose of this centering ring to to make up the difference in center bore between the non-oem and the hub ?
This seems like it might cause problems over time or likely to cause vibration over OEM CB wheels.
Anyone had any problems? Should I continue my search for OEM winter wheels ??

they came free with the rims (one set from TireRack, one from Discount Tire)
The place that sells the rims that you own will also typically carry the rings for them, so give them a call.
I'm surprised though that the rings would be shot - they don't typically wear out since there's really no weight riding on them.

Ditto, Discount supplied them, precise snug fit not likely to wear at all.
My wheels were 5 x112 but the hub was designed for a MB, ergo reducing rings for an Audi. Well machined anodized aluminum rings. Fit extremely snugly inside & outside. I have no concerns about any type of wear or balance issues.

Bought the rims "pre-owned" via AW classifieds last spring - they came with
these plasticky rings which were mounted on the hub side the wheels. Just recently replaced these rims w/ stockers for wintertime - in looking at these rings, one or two seem to be cracking, which is why I asked my orig question re: buying new ones. I've been assuming all along that these plasticky things are my centering rings (fwiw, wheels are Moven SP 10's, 18 x 8.5's all around, ET 35 - Sportec Mono reps). Anyway, that's my story. If anyone thinks these plastic rings are something else and wants to set me straight, please feel free to chime in. TIA.
