Does wheel paint need to be high-temperature tolerant (mild track use)?
Keep in mind that as I type this, I just finished painting my 7th of 8 wheels using only the finest rattle-can and blue tape techniques. I was painting wheel centers with a nice Jaguar Gun Metal Blue (mostly gray) ordered online, with clear coat. Looks real good IMHO. They sell "wheel paint" but this was just auto paint.
I assume brake heat finds its way to the wheels. Any chance that it could get hot enough to do harm to the paint?
