Default Nothing inaccurate there. Now I wonder if they'll address hitting the R10's a combined three times

in two, yes two, incidents.

Weaver was driving like a tool.

Perhaps the changes made the Audi's sooooo slowwwww that Weaver could not avoid hitting them! ; )

Default Still waiting to hear if they do anything about Weaver....I think Weaver could

have avoiding hitting them in each case. When he said the McNish was doing a "brake check" in the pit lane...that was completely stupid..maybe Weaver doesn't "KNOW" there is a speed limit in the pit lane? DUH...but if anyone should be really upset ..it should be Frank...but guess coming back and winning is the best revenge!

Default Yep. Weaver was an idiot. All smart drivers check their brakes before each turn and before the pits.

It's nothing new and it wasn't as if he slammed on the hooks.

Weaver's goal was to take as many Audi's as he could out of the race, IMO.

Checking brakes before each turn? Guess I've never raced with any smart drivers then!

Default You've never tested brake pedal pressure before major turns? Than yes, you haven't raced against

any professionals.

Watch footage of any of the top World Challenge, Rolex DP or GT, ACO/Le Mans drivers, etc and you will see this.

Hurley Haywood, Hans Stuck, Randy Pobst, Ian Bass, Fellows, Lally, Cunningham and countless others do this. This has been discussed here before. Checking for pressure is nothing new.

See in in about every series where you can see foot work on tape.

What series do you race in?

Default Checking pedal pressure doesn't correspond to anything that could be seen as a "brake check"

I didn't see what happened between Weaver and the R10 at Elkhart since I was at the track, so I can't comment on what happened, just make lighthearted posts on Audiworld.

As for my experience, I've been running Atlantics and IMSA Lites this year, as well as a bunch of Formula Dodge stuff. If you check your pedal pressure so aggressively as to actually slow the car down before your actual brake point in an Atlantic race then you'll see more passing than durring a race than you'd believe possible, but not from the perspective you'd want!

Default most do check for pedal pressure before turns at the end of long(er) straights, but...

...in your previous post you said they check them "before EACH turn"

sorry, just nitpicking a little...carry on ;-)
