100 octane chip: is it worth it?
Anyone have experince with a chip (GIAC, REVO etc) that has a 100 octane setting? Is it worth the extra $$$ ? Are differences noticible?
I have a B7S4, so I'm talking about the mod to the 4.2 engine.

I dunno man...
For a normally aspirated car...? probably not. For a B5 S4? DEFINITELY REQUIRED. I had a 100 octane chip in my B5 S4 Avant..and you could really tell the difference.
What is the cost of it?...that probably has a bearing. Since you are in LA..I would try to get the GIAC one from Jeff Moss at Torque Factory.
