Default i have had brembo on my b5 audi & my amg c32, i like the brembos but

i opted to go w/ stasis alcon b/c they were slightly cheaper than the brembos. i like the brembos b/c the pads are really easy to change. just like watching the brakes changed at 24 hour le mans or daytona. on the other hand, does all that talk from stoptech really mean anything about the rigidity of the rotor?? i have doubts about a made in taiwan brake. i trust alcon, ap racing & brembo b/c real tuners & race car teams use their products. i know i'll get bashed for posting this but i feel more comfort knowing my brake technology was used & tested on a race car instead of a weekend racer or tuner.

Default Race proven?

Hattrick20,

It's nice to see you sticking to your same tune. At least it's consistent:

https://forums.audiworld.com/brakes/msgs/1405.phtml

StopTech makes brakes for production cars, not formula or prototype cars. Then our customers take exactly the same technology that is used in the brake systems we sell to street customers and use our parts to win professional races.

A StopTech-equipped car is currently leading the Grand-Am Cup GS Class championship, and earlier in the season, our customers led both the GAC GS Class and SPEED World Challenge GT points. StopTech-equipped cars also do disproportionately well in World Challenge TC.

Maybe success in two of the highest-level production-based road racing series in the U.S. isn't good enough and we should try harder. Or maybe the key is to go into a series where the technology is far removed from what we sell to our other customers...

Factory teams tend to stick with their OE suppliers. Give us a few years.
