Flik wheels suitable for the track? A friend races a vintage Alfa and has cracked
one set and had another hub separate from the rim. Naturally his advice is to dump the cheap cast wheels and get a wheel designed for racing.
Given that his Alfa weighs all of 2200 lbs compared to the 3700 of a B5 S4, I'd rather not be cheap given the potential consequnces.
Anyone have any experience/ insight on wheel quality and racing?

I have 30+ days on a set of Flik Lex 17s. No sign of problems yet, and I've hit the curbing
at places like Road America and Autobahn. For the value, I LOVE those wheels for the track. Ask on the B5 S4 forum - tons of people are using them.

I have Enkei "RP F-1's" they weigh 9.5 lbs and are "spun"... stronger than cast...
They're 15"x7", they cost about $220. ea, they're rolled onto a form or "spun" they call it the poor man's forging!
