Default Quattrofest registration open

Audi Club Northwest, Matrix Integrated, and Sunset Imports are pleased to present the 13th annual Quattrofest at Portland International Raceway.

Come attend the premier driving event in the Northwest,... Quattrofest 2006. This is the most enjoyable way to increase both the performance of your car and your own safety while driving. Quattrofest is 2 days and 2 nights of intensive instruction coupled with hands on activities, all within the controlled environment of one of the best facilities in motor sports. Our talented instructors supervise all of this training.

The event venue is once again Portland International Raceway, home to world class racing events and perfectly suited to our needs for instruction. Located minutes from downtown Portland and a little over 3 hours from Seattle, PIR has been a wonderful host to our club for 13 years. Visit the web site for more information about the track Portland Raceway

Our activities will start Friday night with a chalk talk session. The chalk talk is required for 1st timers and recommended for all. This talk will focus on the basics of high performance driving and how it applies to safe street driving. The chalk talk will be held at our hotel for the event. The Residence Inn North Harbor. Reservations can be made at either the Marriott. Enter the group code "audaudi" for a discounted rate. Or you can call 1-503-285-9888.

Saturday will start at 7:00am for tech inspections and registration for those who did not attend Friday night's talk. At 9:00am participants will be split into groups and run through exercises designed to teach the basics of control at the limit.

Students that have been signed off solo can either do either car control exercises or lapping. Lunch will be provided both days. We will then finish the exercises, and move to some low speed track familiarization. As time permits there will be some high speed lapping on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday night there will be a dinner banquet at Salty's on the Columbia, the same establishment that gave us a great time last year. More details on the banquet to follow.

Sunday we will focus all day on drivers training on the track. Cars will be broken up into run groups based on drivers experience levels and car performance. We limit the number of participants to 80, so there is always plenty of track time to get what you need out of the day.

Please help us promote the event by talking to your co-workers, friends and family about it. They do not have to own Audi's to attend the event. Those people who refer people to the event will receive an event bonus at the Banquet, so make sure your friends tell us that they were referred by you so that you can take advantage of the bonus. And the more people you refer, the more bonus you will get, so sign up as many as you can. I will have an event flyer available to those who might want them to distribute wherever they see fit. You can modify it so that they can include your name when registering.

Registration can be done at www.motorsportreg.com; links are available from our club website audiclubnw.org. Please call me with any questions regarding the event. I can be reached at mardkins@msn.com. If you cannot register via the website please contact me and we can try and make other arrangements to get you registered.

If you would like to volunteer to help at QuattroFest please contact me.

Audi Club Northwest
