Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans
I've owned the hot rod version of a Milano for 14 years and 258,700 miles thus far and track it once in a while. Hubby has owned a number Milanos in 15 years, building full race versions. We have 3 Milanos and 1 parts hulk even now. Several other team members own or have owned Milanos or GTV6 (similar underneath).
It's an extremely balanced and forgiving car to drive. Don't brake for the corner, just turn the steering wheel to slow the car, lift off the gas for just a split second to rotate the rear, then straighten the wheel and back on the gas. Hardly ever use the brakes. You can balance it with the throttle in sweepers, feeding just enough throttle until it starts to slip, then back off a hair, then feed the throttle a tad. So easy to keep on the edge. When somebody would bump or rub us, it was simple to collect without spinning out. With an lsd, it would have been perfect.
