What'd you think about the QUATTRO in the rainy conditions?

Default I dont have anything to compare it to but the rain was fun. It allows you to reach the limits at a

lower speed and it lets you slide around a LOT more. Feeling the car just getting pushed to the outside of those long sweeping turns just felt crazy. Along with the turn after namerow onto the straight

Default When you feel the "pushing to the outside of the turn".....

you are feeling 'understeer'. Try not to 'power in' but let momentum take you thru. Feathering off the throttle will induce 'oversteer' and therefore allow the front end to tuck back in....a fine balance and alot of fun in the wet. As long as you're not carrying too much speed, these conditions are very controllable and the front end will react fairly quick. Tires could be a factor as well.

Default it wasn't an understeer feeling, it felt like the whole car was drifting to the outside

heh I'm VERY familiar with understeer. It would understeer sometimes and the rest of the time it just had a different feel to it.

Hmm now that I think about it though it seems like it would be difficult for it to be anything else on a long sweeping turn. I cant remember what I was doing with the gas. I just remember that there wasnt a loss in steering feel, I didnt need to correct anything and it just felt like the car was moving.

This is what I dont like about new tracks. The whole two days I'm just learning the track and I dont really get to play with the way the car behaves

Default Sounds like the same feel I had...4 wheel drifts...and loving it. Occasionally...

the *** end kicked out, the Gulch was always the culprit. The ESP snapped it back in line....I was surprised how quickly this happened. Yea, the long sweepers gave me the sensation you speak of....and at times felt alittle 'edgy'.

Default Yeah that turn was fun. My instructor was telling me to take turn 10, the one before the gluch as a

normal apex. So I would end up tossing the weight around and the back end would slip out a little bit. The esses were fun at that track too...I just had such a hard time with them, but that made them fun

Esses can be problematic for consistency. Turn 11 demonstrated how well ESP worked.
