Why doesn't BMW or Opel run in DTM series?
It just costs too much money to run this European only series.
Audi said they put 50 million Euro into supporting their R10 cars and 255 million into their four DTM factory cars last year.
The prices are equitable with each other.
It's very sad it's only a two car series, but the racing is still great.

PS - Nice sig photo. Infineon, I assume. Great colors, framing, saturation, too bad the wheels are frozen. Could have been parked. My biggest motorsports photo pet pieve.
I'd rather DTM were less F1 though.
Yep, GM pulled the plug at the end of 2004 and was prohibitive of private teams running their cars.
Alfa was there for a while, too, but found it too pricey.
I really wish it was a four or six car series. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Opel, Alfa, Volvo, Jaguar, Maserati, Aston Martin and the Japanese marks could be involved, but few have the *****.

Yes, sig is Sears. "Head On Photos" is the culprit!

Additionally, RWD was mandated after Audi was kicking *** in DTM with quattro.
Lastly, think about how goofy it is for Audi to be forced to race in a configuration with which they don't even make cars!
OT - Duncan, which car were you running on Wed at Infineon?
