More on those fast Laguna Seca Spec Miata times
Just read "The Wheel" that I picked up at Thunderhill with the Audi Club. The fast SMs are ~1:45. But even more interesting, the slowest Miata lap time was something like 1:52. So the slowest time is a few seconds faster than my old fastest time (a 1:55 in race traffic). Steve S. drives better than I, but even he was only 1:53ish, right Steve?
Those new berms must really help. Can't wait to try them out Feb 19-20!

The new paving has had more of an affect than the curbs, IMO. Forget all you hear about it being
bumpy, that's not hurting anything with four wheels around there, and the track will probably get faster again this year when they repave it again.
