Brilliant Black after 3 months...
Well, the name of the color kind of says it all. A car can't be "brilliant" unless its clean. Now I live in SoCal where rain is rare. I get by, but after 2-3 days, the car wants to be washed again. It kind of becomes dull black. Basically its high maintenance. I would only buy another black car (this is my first and no one warned me) if 1) I lived in SoCal, 2) I had a garage, and 3) I used the California duster every day (I think thats the name of it). Since I'm moving the Seattle and have no garage there, I think it'll be dirty more than it will be clean.<p>After all that though, right now, after washing, it looks so good its almost worth all those not so clean days. This is the coolest thing I've ever owned.<p>I have the advance Onyx leatherette interior which is the best. The leatherette rocks and it was free. It smells good and has great texture. The interior trim is the wood one that's not polished. I really like it a lot. <br>

I used Meguiar's cleaner-wax on my brilliant black and the results were superb. The car has 10,000 mi and almost one year old - garaged about half of the time. The Meguiar's gets rid of swirls - for at least a couple weeks. In Albuquerque, so the sun can be rather harsh. Would buy black again, a motivator to get up and wash the car.<p>Brian P.

I have Brilliant Black with the Terra Cota advance cloth interior and love it. I live in Germany where you can lately count the hours of sunshine without using double digits. The car is dirty right now but you can't beat it once it is clean. As this is my second black car, I would buy black again, especially if it is an Audi. The interior is a perfect match for the exterior especially with the wood trim. <br>Dave<br>98.5 2.8 QTS

Another Brilliant Black A4 owner's observations...
Love the color, in fact I always buy black cars. Onyx leatherette interior too, an elegant combo. Pain in the *** to keep clean, it's true, but when it's clean it's sublime. And if you have a garage and avoid the rain, as I do, you can go a week between washings. <p>Best thing is, when it gets dusty, it looks like the new Volcano Black(!) <br>
