Bumper/fender protection

Is there anything (other than a garage) to protect the bumpers/fenders from dings and dents? I must park the car on a city street. Careless people park in front or in back and hit the bumpers. The paint is chipping off. Help!

Stonguard or Invincashield

The above two products are largely a thin layer of 3M adhesive-backed clear plastic that applies on various body parts. It was designed to reduce/eliminate stone damage; I imagine it would at least help. Don't know if a precut size exists for the back. On the front, could also try a bra.Besides that, I can't think of much beyond Guido stationed by the car with an Uzi or Kalasnikof - or else find a new parking area.

Yeah and the newer Audi designs (a6-tt-next a4) have even less protection!

these shouldn't even be allowed to be called bumpers! 'eye candy' only................................

Thanks for the info. I'll look into the products.My other option was surrounding the car with trailer hitches - the ones with the big ball at the end. Ha Ha!

I have Stongard both on the front and the rear. There isn't a rear one made specifically for the A4, so the California distributor in Southern CA used one meant for a Chrysler minivan and it fit great. I have cleaned off a few bumper rub marks since having it installed.I recommend it if spending about $350 for clear 3M shielding is your thing.Adam
