headlights. suggestions please...
I would like to replace my entire hadlight set up with something really cool. I bought clear corners from LLSham and they went yellow in 6 months. I want something that's functional, white/blue at night, super clear and classy in daylight. I saw a CEC modified euro-spec GTI witha 1.8t today at a VW dealer (my girlfriend is buying a black CEC beetle on Monday) and it had the most beautiful lights I've ever seen. I called Clause at CEC and he said there's NO kits for A4s? <p>I've seen threads about available kits so presume he's wrong, right? Thanks in advance for any info. It would be great if you could e-mail or post any contact info of companies and pricing for kits if you have it. LLtek is currently working with Hella right now, and will have the specs ans prices supposedly next week.. <p>There are waiting list for them, because of the high demand.. So if your looking to get these units better get yourself on the list.. Replacement Parts?
If the headlight units are going be be scarce, and you can only get them if you act fast, then how do you get replacement parts if something should break? If you need a whole new headlamp due to crash or rock damage, or a replacement electrical part, you might be stuck.<p>I'm thinking it might just be better to wait a while to see how this whole thing turns out, or see what the U.S. import S4 will have for headlights.

Go Euro!
Have fitted them on my old Porsche 911 and Audi Coupe; was well satisified in both cases. You stick with anything else, I think you will be dissapointed; you're still stuck with the US headlight pattern, which is where the problem is (not the power, in my experience).<p>I am debating installing Euros on the A4; have a $900 windshield replacement on the 993 facing me first (more important drain on my piggy bank for now; the joys of opting for a $1000 comprehensive deductible)<br>

They won't be scarce once Hella releases them.. they are not an aftermarket item yet, therefore they are very hard to get..only through the dealers in Europe.. Once they are available parts importers will definitely have them.. Or one can try to get them from France...<p>Dmak 1.8TQMS

Ray,<p>Were the euro lights difficult to install on your coupe? I'm thinking of doing that to my '89, 90Q, which should use the same lights. As you know, the US issue lights are virtually useless.
