Local NJ dealers either want $500 or $1000 (now mostly $500) for their initial limited allocation. Larger dealers are getting 7-10 cars in the initial batch (due by late summer). Two dealers wanted non-refundable deposits due to the small volume of cars and the fact that they have to specify all their colors. I wouldn't be surprised once the word hits the street (ie: major US mags do a review) if people sell their place in line.<p>Price is estimated at $45000, with leather, sport seats, 17" AVUS style wheels, sport suspension, heated seats/ski sack, xenon lamps, lacquered carbon fiber interior trim, separate fog lights, Bose/CD changer (*), and 6-speed manual transmission.<p>* - with the proposed 99.5 changes, the Bose system may be changed to the Audi Symphony in-dash cassette + CD and a changer; also they might use another aftermarket audio tuning company.<p>-josh<br>98.5 2.8qms

I have my name on the top of the list...but my Audi Brand Specialist has not taken a deposit from me
Everytime I bring it up he states I don't need one...he says my name is at the top of HIS list. I don't know if I feel comfortable about this yet. I think I gotta go see him.
