What does the throttle body alignment allow you to do on the APR EMCS chip?

Syncronize the ECU to the electronic throttle body.
It can be done other ways, but it can only be confirmed through VAG. If you mess it up then the ECU puts the car in limp mode. Then you REALLY need the VAG tool to get things straightened out (or the fault code erase function on EMCS).
If you do TBA through EMCS then there is no room for error, plus it is really convenient. If you forget to do it, then you have FCE to clear the DTC and get you out of limp mode.
