Seattle Audi owners
Hello, my first post on the board after lurking for a few weeks...
Well, its time to trade in my 87 4000s, too many things are breaking. I guess i will have to bite the bullet and have car payments for the first time in awhile.
Anyhow, can you give me your recomendations on where to shop, university, barrier,roger jobs, etc and what is a good price over invoice in this area. I want to get a 1.8t.

Search the A4 Archives for "Barrier" and you will read my past posts on them. I _highly_ recommend this dealer! If you are a Costco member, or willing to join for $40, you will get a big, no-hassle discount at Barrier. Just ask for the "Costco price".

On the other hand, you will NEVER get a free loaner car from Barrier. Since I live a long way from Bellevue, I find this irritating. We also found them unwilling to move from list price (didn't know to ask about Costco and they didn't offer the information).
On the other hand, University absolutely refuses to order a car to your liking. You have the freedom to choose - from among the cars they decide to order. This is great if you like what they think you should like.
We bought my wife's 2001 A4 from Roger Jobs because they were willing to order exactly what she wanted, offered a $1500 discount from list, and saved us an extra $300 on sales tax relative to buying in Seattle. The car arrived in about two months.
Service? We go to University and have been extremely happy with their quality and attitude.
