Getting tempted to the dark side
So I've read the reviews of the new M3 and I really like it. I will be ready for a new car in a few years and by then the M3 will be available without a long wait or extra $$$$s. I have realized that the real advantage in snow is the proper snow tires - yes Quattro can get me going faster and quicker but in the end it does not help stop me any better.)
I have missed the straight six of the Bimmers. I also like the hp the M3 gets without trick turbos.
Of course the new S4 will be out by then and maybe it will have the V8 that is rumored. The new chassis is suppose to be BMWish in feel. After all the problems with the first year S4 I know enough to wait for the second year.
In the end - I guess it will be a tough decision. Anyone else going though the same though process??

I've got a 99 M Coupe as a summer car. Great fun, but I've been thinking about the 330Xi. With the Dinan throttle body, chip, headers and exhaust, you could really have an all-around knockout driver.
The other thing to think about is how fast you are willing to drive that car. I bought the A4 1.8 just to lower my driving a notch. After going up the esses at Watkins Glen at over 100 mph
six feet from massive guard rails, I had to ask myself if I really wanted to go any faster.
I mean, 90mph around corners using throttle oversteer? Where can you use that on the street? Still, I'm just as tempted as you. Huge power on demand is just sooo addicting...
